As most folks that use the tow-path by the Worcester to Birmingham canal know, there is a vast amount of diverse nature built up since it was built (see Cut-to-Canal).

One of the more recent additions has been the Heron.
An incredible sight though it is, he seems to be lonely but this shy bird is getting braver. He’s been seen from the Landsdown Bridge by the recreation ground where he was normally happier around the flats by Gregory’s Bank bridge.
