What is geocacheing?
A geocache is a ‘box’ at a specific location that contains items to make a note of, games to play or anything really. They can be placed in boxes, magnetic boxes, containers hidden from plain view, etc. They are a bit like a “timecapsule” – but one could contain a clue to where the next one is and so on so you are taken on a tour with bits of information about the area.<p class="has-black-color has-text-color" value="<amp-fit-text layout="fixed-height" min-font-size="6" max-font-size="72" height="80">Find a geocache near you – we have a few on the Arbo!Find a geocache near you – we have a few on the Arbo!
You can “play” using a mobile app from Google Play or App Store – download the app from this page.
We will be creating geocaches around the Arboretum, canal and the Bramblewood Project so while getting a tour of the Arboretum, you get to find the geocache and find out more or carry out the task given.
